About

Bonjour,
I'm Sacha!

Home baker / Mom of two / Bilingual creator / Proudly not a pastry chef

I help home bakers make real, beautiful bread — without taking it too seriously.

I’m the baker behind Sparks & Bread. I’m not a trained pastry chef, and that’s the point: I bake real bread at home in a busy family kitchen, and I want to show you that you can too.

I built this first as a live challenge, but kept hearing “I couldn’t make the live times.” So I rebuilt the whole thing to start any day, from anywhere, at your own pace.

Bread shouldn’t come with a schedule — or a rulebook. Now it doesn’t.

If this is you

You've wanted this for a while.

  • 01You love the idea of homemade bread, but sourdough feels far too intimidating.
  • 02You’ve been told you need to feed a starter twice a day and score like a surgeon.
  • 03You’ve tried before, and ended up with dense little bricks.
  • 04You want fresh bread on the table without your whole week revolving around it.

If you’re nodding — you’re exactly who I made this for.

FAQs

Do I need special equipment?

No. A bowl, an oven, and your hands. I’ll show you the simple tricks for great crust without buying anything fancy.

Isn't sourdough really complicated?

It’s been made complicated. I strip it back to what actually matters and skip the steps you don’t need. You’ll be surprised how relaxed it can be.

Can I really do it all from my phone?

Yes. The course was built for it. Watch and bake along, right there on your counter.

I already have a starter and I've baked a few loaves. Is this for me?

Yes! This course isn’t about baking one good loaf — it’s about making fresh bread a constant in your home. The four rhythms, batch baking, freezing and the planner take you from the occasional loaf to bread that’s always on the counter.

I've never baked bread before. Can I start here?

Absolutely. Every lesson walks you through each step while you bake along, phone propped on the counter. No experience needed — just a bowl, an oven and your hands.

Can I make soft sandwich bread my family will actually eat?

Yes. There’s a full lesson on sandwich loaves, and the recipes include soft sandwich bread alongside classic loaves, white and whole wheat, sweet and savoury.

I've failed at sourdough before.

That’s exactly who this is for. Most “failures” come down to a few small things nobody explains — and I explain them, without the fuss. The troubleshooting section alone will change your loaves.

How much time does it really take?

The hands-on part is minutes, spread across the day while you do other things. You choose the rhythm that fits — morning, overnight, or same-day.

How long do I have access?

Forever. Buy once, start whenever you like, rewatch as often as you need. No deadlines, ever.

I'm really busy — work, kids, life. Will this fit?

That’s exactly why I built it around rhythms. Pick the one that fits your week — slow, overnight, everyday or same-day — bake once, and freeze and refresh the rest. The hands-on time is minutes.

Do I need to show up live or follow a set schedule?

No. There are no live sessions and no start date. Begin any day, go at your own pace, and come back to any lesson whenever you need it.
